Create a New Project

This page explains how to start a brand-new local project in AutoPilot. Use this workflow when you are beginning fresh and do not yet have a codebase to work from.

Steps

  1. Click New Project.
  2. Choose Start from scratch.
  3. Select or create a local project folder to hold your work.
  4. AutoPilot scans the folder.
  5. AutoPilot prepares the Agile Board and project memory.
  6. Check that the Claude and Codex connections are active. See Connect Claude and Connect Codex.
  7. Add your first tasks on the Agile Board.
  8. Start the development loop.
Note: This page covers creating a project from scratch. To work with code you already have, see Scan an Existing Codebase.
