Scan an Existing Codebase

This page explains how to point AutoPilot at an existing local codebase. Use this workflow when you already have project files on your machine and want AutoPilot to understand them.

Steps

  1. Choose Use Existing Codebase or Open Local Project.
  2. Choose the local folder that contains your code.
  3. AutoPilot scans the project structure.
  4. It detects the project type, files, Git status, and other useful context.
  5. It prepares project memory and task context.
  6. Add tasks to the Agile Board.
Important: AutoPilot does not upload your code to our servers. The scan runs locally and is only used to help the app understand your project. See Local-First Privacy.
